Internship Overview

This internship is part of our Amandelbult Complex Internship Programme. It is designed to give students and recent graduates hands‑on experience in operational risk management, environmental science, safety, or related fields. The programme will run for 12 months and is open to candidates from:

• Baphalane Ba Mantserre
• Bakgatla Ba Kgafela
• Baphalane Ba Ramokoka
• Thabazimbi
• Moses Kotane Municipality

We also prioritise applications from employees’ beneficiaries and persons with disabilities. Beneficiaries are typically a spouse, partner, child, parent, sibling, or relative who is financially dependent on a permanent employee.

Key Responsibilities

During the internship, you will:

• Assist in identifying, assessing and monitoring operational risks across the mine.
• Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
• Participate in safety and environmental audits and report findings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to promote a safety‑first culture.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Applicants must have recently completed one of the following qualifications:

• National Diploma (ND) or Advanced Diploma
• Bachelor’s degree or BTech (Honours) in Risk Management, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Hygiene, or Safety Management

Additional requirements:

• Successful completion of a Medical Fitness Test and assessment.
• Proof of residence in a host community (if applicable).
• Confirmation of dependency from a permanent employee (if applicant is a beneficiary).
