About the Bursary
Westfalia Fruit is committed to the humanitarian vision of our founder, Dr. Hans Merensky. We support our employees, customers, communities, the environment, and society through fair practices and development initiatives. Our Education Bursary Scheme offers financial assistance to deserving students who excel academically and wish to pursue studies in agriculture or related fields.

Who Can Apply?
- South African citizens with a valid ID.
- Students who have completed or are presently in Grade 12.
- Those pre‑approved by a recognised institution of higher learning.
- Students who require financial assistance.
- Applicants with an outstanding academic record.
- Willing to study full‑time.
Priority is given to students from communities where Westfalia operates. Where funds permit, applicants from local communities can also apply for community‑benefit fields such as medicine, nursing, and teaching.
Required Documents
- Certified copy of ID.
- Certified mid‑term or Grade 12 results.
- Proof of acceptance or pre‑approval letter from the institution of higher learning.
- Proof of residence (municipal letter or tribal authority letter).
Benefits
Successful applicants will receive educational funding for their chosen program.
