About the Role
The Front Office Administrator will keep the office running smoothly by handling clerical tasks and supporting the team with administrative duties. This role also supports health and safety, facilities management, and visitor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and guide them to the appropriate departments.
- Operate the switchboard: answer calls promptly, route calls, take messages, and update contact lists.
- Maintain accurate visitor logs.
- Coordinate daily mail and courier deliveries.
- Track, replenish, and order office supplies.
- Log facilities requests in the helpdesk system and follow up with staff or contractors.
- Assist with occupational health and safety initiatives, including evacuation drills and hazard reporting.
- Manage boardroom bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling to avoid conflicts.
Qualifications and Experience
- Higher certificate in Office Administration or Public Administration (NQF Level 5) or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience.
- Strong communication, organisation and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and basic IT systems.
