About the Role

The Client Liaison Officer will report to the Assistant Manager – Car Park. The role focuses on maintaining high safety, quality and customer service standards across the Landside area of the airport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits, identify deviations and follow up to ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Inspect daily the availability and functionality of Landside building infrastructure (QMS).
  • Detect and monitor events in collaboration with other departments, reporting any deviations.
  • Review process and system efficiency in Landside operations (throughput and dwell time) and recommend or implement improvements.
  • Investigate escalated customer queries, provide feedback to customer service, and resolve issues.
  • Respond promptly to accidents and incidents within the Landside environment.
  • Perform routine walkabouts of the entire Landside area.
  • Manage shuttle service operations, ensuring on‑time arrivals, cleanliness, driver conduct and compliance with bus operating permits.
  • Facilitate VIP arrivals and assist with the permit process for diplomats and VIPs where needed.
  • Support the manager with Landside project activities.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of all incidents and accidents.
  • Compile daily reconciliation reports and contribute to monthly departmental management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures, reporting non‑compliance and implementing corrective actions.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to enforce legislative requirements, SOPs, operational standards and policies.
  • Coordinate with the safety department to ensure all works on the Landside are safe.
  • Participate in pre‑audit processes to minimise final audit findings.
  • Maintain stable employee relations, manage conflict and foster a positive working environment.
  • Ensure work is executed in accordance with contract terms, including time frame, SLA, scope and quality.
  • Manage contractors and service providers according to contract conditions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Commercial or Business Management.
  • Minimum 2 years of public management operational experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in operations.
  • Code‑B motor vehicle licence.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
