Dunlop Youth Employment Service (YES) Learnership Programme 2026/2027

Dunlop is inviting unemployed South African youth to apply for our 12‑month Learnership Programme. The objective of the Youth Employment Service (YES) is to give young people real workplace training and professional experience in a leading industrial company. The programme runs from 2026 to 2027 and offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on skills at either our Durban Head Office or Ladysmith Manufacturing Plant.

What Is the Dunlop YES Programme?

The YES Learnership is part of the national Youth Employment Service initiative. Participants work full time and learn in a structured programme that blends on‑the‑job training with industry‑recognised learning. Through rotations and mentoring the learners gain experience in areas that match their study qualifications, preparing them for future employment.

Where Will You Work?

Participants are placed in one of two locations:

• Durban Head Office – a corporate environment where learners see the business side of Dunlop.
• Ladysmith Manufacturing Plant – a production environment where learners experience the factory side of the business.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet these criteria:

• Unemployed South African youth aged 34 years or younger.
• Preferably have little or no previous work experience.
• Have not previously participated in the YES programme.
• First‑time job seekers looking to start a career.

Fields of Study

We accept learners with certificates, diplomas or equivalent qualifications in the following areas:

• Marketing or Public Management
• Automotive, Mechanical or related technical fields
• Finance
• Business Management
• Administration
• Information Technology (IT)
• Environmental Health and Safety
• Supply Chain
• Human Resources (HR)
• Quality

Key Skills

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

• Strong time‑management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
