About the Role
KBR is looking for a reliable and safety-focused Driver to join our team in Ad Dawhah, Qatar. In this full-time position, you will play a key role in supporting plant construction and maintenance operations. Your main duties will involve safely operating buses and other vehicles to transport passengers across the site. You must always follow all safety standards, site procedures, and local traffic laws to ensure everyone stays safe. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, as you will be handling the safe movement of people in a busy construction environment. By joining KBR, you will contribute to important projects that help build and maintain critical infrastructure in Qatar.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Foreman or General Foreman and receive your daily assignments from them to ensure smooth operations.
- Carefully read and understand work instructions, transport documents, and any other related paperwork to perform your tasks accurately.
- Plan and carry out your daily driving routes and activities, making sure everything runs on time and efficiently.
- Safely transport passengers to and from their designated locations, supporting all site operations and helping keep the project moving forward.
- Strictly follow all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures at all times, including wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, vests, and gloves.
- Immediately report any delays, incidents, accidents, or issues that arise during your shifts to the appropriate supervisor to allow for quick resolution and to maintain safety.
- Be prepared to take on additional duties as assigned by your supervisor, showing flexibility and a team-oriented approach to support the overall success of the project.
Requirements
- You must hold a valid and appropriate driving license that allows you to operate buses and other vehicles as needed for this role in Qatar.
- Show a strong commitment to safety by always prioritizing safe driving practices and adhering to all rules.
- Be punctual, arriving on time for shifts and assignments to ensure reliable service.
- Demonstrate professionalism in your interactions with colleagues, passengers, and supervisors, maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
- Basic knowledge of local traffic laws and site-specific driving procedures is essential for success in this position.
- Physical fitness to perform driving duties in various weather conditions and over extended periods is required.
- Good communication skills to report issues clearly and work effectively as part of a team.
