Job Purpose
To provide an effective and efficient service by delivering the correct aircraft spares, tooling, and equipment to all relevant departments. The role involves receiving, binning, issuing, and updating the AMOS system for all material essential to the operation of SAA Technical.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply the correct spares, tooling, and equipment as requested by various departments.
- Control the delivery and collection of components, spares, tooling, and equipment.
- Perform accurate data capturing in the AMOS system, including Component Job Card and TSAS capturing.
- Verify the condition and control of unserviceable (US) components and tooling.
- Ensure compliance with all Regulatory Authority Requirements (e.g., JAA, FAA, ISO).
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Perform outgoing and incoming inspections of all tooling, equipment, and components.
- Assist the Shift Leader in monitoring all stock levels within the stores.
- Receive and issue all material into the warehouse or stores system.
- Physically bin material according to the allocated rack locations.
- Handle the unitisation of material as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with the AMOS system is a basic requirement.
- A valid driver’s license (Code B) is essential.
Knowledge and Skills
- Good knowledge of the aviation environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
