Eskom Rotek Industries is offering an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join our team as a Graduate in Training within the Safety Management department. This role is based at our Rosherville facility in Germiston.
Position Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to learn how to identify and manage risks that could cause harm to the health and safety of employees, result in loss of life, cause damage to property and equipment, lead to production loss, or harm the environment. This is a developmental position designed to equip a recent graduate with the necessary skills and experience in safety management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation and management of Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) systems and procedures.
- Participate in risk assessment activities to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Support the administration and management of the Safety section.
- Help ensure adherence to all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards and regulations.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections.
- Assist in the development and delivery of safety training and awareness programs.
- Contribute to incident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.

Knowledge
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Management principles.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act 85 of 1993) is advantageous.
- Basic awareness of environmental legislation.
- Computer proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
A National Diploma or Degree in Safety Management or Environmental Health.
Experience:
No prior experience is required. This is a training position for a recent graduate.
