The Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality (MMM) is a leading employer dedicated to the principles of the Employment Equity Act. We are seeking 450 suitably qualified, energetic, and committed individuals to fill General Worker positions across various directorates and regions.

Directorates and Work Areas
Successful applicants will be placed within the following directorates and sub-directorates, performing a variety of general work and service functions to support the municipality’s service delivery objectives.

Sub-Directorates and Specific Roles:
- Parks & Cemeteries: Grave Digging (35 posts), Horticulture (40 posts), Landscaping (10 posts)
- Solid Waste Management: Refuse Collection (14 posts), Illegal Dumping (20 posts), Public Cleansing (15 posts), Trade Waste (8 posts), Domestic Waste (7 posts), Special Removal (3 posts), Disposal Site (9 posts)
- Roads & Storm Water: 109 posts
- Water Demand: 57 posts
- Sanitation: Sewer Purification & Vacuum Services (100 posts)
- Fresh Produce Market: 5 posts
- Facilities: 18 posts
Minimum Requirements
- Basic Literacy (Grade 8 or equivalent).
- Proficiency in at least two official languages of the Mangaung Metro Municipality.
- Ability and willingness to work outside of normal hours, during emergencies, and planned overtime.
Core Duties
- Perform general labor and service functions as assigned to support the operational goals of the Mangaung Metro Municipality.
- Tasks will vary depending on the specific sub-directorate and work area assigned.
