About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Learning & Development Administrator to join our Thorburn Security Solutions division. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the implementation of our national Learning & Development (L&D) strategy. You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating training interventions, managing learner records, and ensuring compliance with various regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Training Coordination & Facilitation
- Plan and manage internal and external training programmes across all regions.
- Ensure all service providers are properly accredited.
- Maintain and manage training calendars.
- Ensure all training interventions align with the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and the broader organisational needs.
Compliance & Reporting
- Assist in the preparation and submission of the Annual Training Report (ATR) and Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) to SASSETA.
- Support internal and external audits (including ISO and BBBEE) by maintaining accurate, up-to-date training records and documentation.
Learner Management System (LMS) Administration
- Administer and manage e-learning courses on the company’s LMS.
- Publish learning materials and record learner attendance and progress.
- Capture and maintain all learner records, ensuring data integrity across all platforms.
Learnership Programme Support
- Assist in sourcing and selecting learners for various programmes.
- Prepare and manage all necessary learner documentation and agreements.
- Coordinate learner inductions and ongoing programme activities.
- Manage records for SETA uploads and BBBEE reporting, ensuring full compliance.
Records Management
- Maintain comprehensive electronic and manual records of all training interventions.
- Ensure all documentation is organised, audit-ready, and compliant with company policies and ISO standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise effectively with regional trainers, external service providers, and internal departments.
- Ensure the smooth execution of all training initiatives.
- Provide regular feedback and detailed reports on training attendance and learner progress.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong coordination and administrative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in using a Learner Management System (LMS) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Solid knowledge of compliance requirements (SETA, PSIRA, SASSETA, BBBEE).
- Experience in preparing for and supporting audits.
- A proactive approach and strong teamwork ethic.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is a minimum requirement.
- A diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field will be a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar HR or training administration role.
- Hands-on experience with a Learner Management System (LMS) is essential.
- Previous exposure to SETA processes, WSP/ATR submissions, and BBBEE requirements is highly beneficial.
