Job Description

FlySafair is seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of our crew and staff, ensuring the highest standards of service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport crew and staff between airports, training centres, hotels, and other designated points.
• Assist with ad-hoc collections and deliveries as required by the operations team.
• Ensure punctuality to meet all operational schedules and timeframes.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any defects, maintenance issues, or irregularities.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean, presentable, and in a roadworthy condition at all times.
• Monitor vehicle service schedules and licensing renewals to ensure full compliance with legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate and detailed logs of mileage, fuel usage, and trip details.
• Ensure the timely submission of all trip reports, logs, and fuel receipts.
• Strictly adhere to all company safety, security, and road safety regulations and policies.
• Deliver consistently professional, courteous, and customer-focused service to all crew and staff members.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential).
• Valid Code B Driver’s licence with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) (Essential).
• Minimum of 2 years’ professional driving experience, preferably in a crew or staff transport environment (Essential).
• Must be willing and available to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Must be medically fit to perform the duties of a professional driver.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Thorough knowledge of South African road traffic laws and regulations.
