About the Role

Ekurhuleni West TVET College is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Management Trainee to join the team at our Germiston Campus. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the administration of Department of Education (DoE) bursaries within a dynamic educational environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • N6 Financial Management qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distribute DoE bursary application forms and Schedules of Particulars (SoP) to applicants.
  • Clearly explain the required supporting documents to all applicants.
  • Maintain accurate records of all students who have applied and submitted their applications.
  • Conduct follow-ups on returns from the Student Support Services – Central Office (SSS-CC) or the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
  • Attend and participate in bursary-related meetings.
  • Handle the photocopying of all documentation required for DoE bursary administration at the campus.
  • Process transport and accommodation claims for students who have been awarded DoE bursaries, submit them to the SSS-CC, and maintain detailed records.
  • Check each application against a checklist to ensure all fields are completed and all necessary documentation is submitted.
  • Inform students of the deadlines for submission of their completed forms and SoP.
