About the Role
Ekurhuleni West TVET College is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Management Trainee to join the team at our Germiston Campus. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the administration of Department of Education (DoE) bursaries within a dynamic educational environment.
Minimum Requirements
- N6 Financial Management qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Distribute DoE bursary application forms and Schedules of Particulars (SoP) to applicants.
- Clearly explain the required supporting documents to all applicants.
- Maintain accurate records of all students who have applied and submitted their applications.
- Conduct follow-ups on returns from the Student Support Services – Central Office (SSS-CC) or the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
- Attend and participate in bursary-related meetings.
- Handle the photocopying of all documentation required for DoE bursary administration at the campus.
- Process transport and accommodation claims for students who have been awarded DoE bursaries, submit them to the SSS-CC, and maintain detailed records.
- Check each application against a checklist to ensure all fields are completed and all necessary documentation is submitted.
- Inform students of the deadlines for submission of their completed forms and SoP.
