Reporting to: Recruitment Consultant
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this internship is to provide an exceptional client experience to maximize sales and profitability, ensure that operating standards are executed and maintained, and to build and enhance the retailer brand image.
Key Responsibilities
Maximize Turnover, Profit and Productivity
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Assist in setting up and driving sales at events, launches, and retailer activities.
- Provide timely feedback on sales and customer-related issues or concerns.
Brand Management
- Monitor competitor activity and stay up to date with current industry trends.
- Ensure that hygiene and safety standards are maintained according to retailer requirements at all times.
- Adhere to and maintain brand standards consistently.
Stock Management, Merchandising and Store Operations
- Ensure stock is merchandised according to established guidelines.
- Report out-of-stock items to the line manager daily to drive sales and maintain an exceptional client experience.
- Handle stock administration, stock loss prevention, and stock level control and management.
- Implement and adhere to operating procedures and policies at all times.
- Manage asset control and security.
- Oversee point-of-sale materials and displays.
Customer Experience
- Provide an exceptional and consistent client experience to all customers.
- Uphold and reinforce the client journey and experience standards.
- Build relationships, foster loyalty, and inspire confidence in clients by providing professional cosmetics services.
- Use expert knowledge and skills when demonstrating products (make-up, skincare, and fragrances) to clients.
- Share make-up, skincare, and fragrance tips, expert knowledge, current trends, and provide customers with a personalized, educational experience.
- Drive increased customer database growth by attracting new customers.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with other colleagues and stakeholders to ensure a harmonious working environment.
- Contribute to the execution of the overall sales operational plan.
- Participate in and support all events and hold team members accountable.
- Support and assist new team members with onboarding and orientation.
- Ensure that exceptional and consistent standards are maintained.
- Live the company values and conduct oneself with integrity at all times.
Administration
- Complete and submit daily tracking sheets and reports as required.
- Implement CRM processes effectively.
- Prepare and submit retail reports and updates as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Matric certificate.
- At least 3 years of cosmetics experience (make-up, skincare, and fragrances) within a retail environment.
- Make-up artistry experience is advantageous.
- A certificate in Beauty/Make-Up is advantageous.
- Must be able to demonstrate expert knowledge and current industry trends.
- Must be a team player, an active learner, and a problem-solver.
- Must be willing to work weekends and shifts as required.
- Must have own transport.
