Job Introduction

We are looking for a dedicated Service Advisor to join our team at Clicks Mall of Tembisa. In this role, you will ensure service excellence at the point of sale by delivering fast and efficient customer service and managing point-of-sale (POS) operations smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Your main duties will include:

  • Directing and controlling all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and efficient way to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Managing stock and cash safely to minimize losses, while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and administration.
  • Training, motivating, and guiding shop assistants and cashiers to perform their duties well and provide excellent service at all times.
  • Ensuring there are enough staff on duty according to work schedules, company policies, and labor laws.
  • Resolving customer queries quickly and effectively, following the company’s guidelines.
  • Promoting the Clicks ClubCard to meet participation targets and encourage customer loyalty.
  • Handling stock securely through measures like security checks, cash controls, returns policies, and other administrative tasks to reduce losses and improve safety at the point of sale.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service by being a brand ambassador—always visible, friendly, and professional.
  • Supporting the company’s vision to be the top choice for health and beauty shopping by living our values every day.
  • Staying up-to-date with products, ranges, promotions, and events to give customers accurate information whenever they need it.

Knowledge Required

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A good understanding of financial management principles and how to apply them.
  • Experience or knowledge in retail or FMCG, including merchandising and promotions.
  • Familiarity with stock management, cost control, risk assessment, and compliance procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service best practices.
  • Awareness of labor laws and industrial relations practices.
  • Skills in competency-based interviewing.

Education and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements (Essential):

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • A relevant Retail or Business Management qualification (for external applicants).

  • At least 50% in Maths and 50% in English at Grade 12 level.
