About the Role:
TSU Protection Services seeks a vigilant Security Officer to maintain safety standards at a high-profile Franschhoek site. This role requires an authoritative presence with exceptional observational skills to ensure optimal security and prevent unauthorized activities. Successful candidates will contribute to maintaining secure, incident-free operations through proactive monitoring and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular property patrols and maintain visible security presence
- Monitor site access points and control entry authorizations
- Secure premises post-operations including all doors, windows, and exits
- Utilize surveillance systems to detect security breaches
- Investigate suspicious activities and respond to security alerts
- Detain offenders using legal protocols until authorities arrive
- Provide assistance to visitors and staff as required
- Document daily security reports and incident logs
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid PSIRA Grade B registration (current status)
- Matric/Grade 12 certificate
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans (written & verbal)
- Excellent physical fitness for extended standing/walking shifts
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Clean criminal record
- Successful completion of recruitment assessments
- Resident of Franschhoek/Paarl area
