A vacancy exists for a Risk Advisory Manager at our client’s office in Johannesburg, Gauteng. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our dynamic team. If you are a seasoned Risk Advisory Manager with expertise in Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and are looking for a new challenge in the Middle East, this is an exciting opportunity for you.
About the Position
As an ICFR Manager, you will play a key role in helping clients enhance their financial reporting integrity in a vibrant and evolving market. This is a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role in a rapidly growing Middle Eastern practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design ICFR frameworks tailored to client needs and local/international regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage ICFR framework implementation projects, including process documentation, risk assessment, and controls mapping.
- Conduct audit readiness assessments and prepare clients for internal and external audits, liaising directly with auditors.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on best practices in internal controls, corporate governance, and risk management.
- Manage project teams, timelines, and budgets to ensure high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and best practices in risk advisory and ICFR.
Qualifications
- Current Manager at a Big 4 firm with a focus on Risk Advisory, Internal Audit, or a similar practice.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and testing ICFR frameworks.
- Strong background in audit readiness and supporting clients through financial statement audits.
- Excellent understanding of control frameworks (e.g., COSO) and relevant regulations (e.g., SOX).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- A willingness and ability to relocate to the Middle East.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, CA) are a plus.
