About the Position

A vacancy exists for a BI Consultant at our client’s office in Parow East. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a BI Consultant.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, collect, and extract accurate and purpose-fit data, working with developers to configure, test, and update configurations.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide expert consultation on the best approaches related to data and business challenges.
  • Interpret business data, uncovering trends and changes within operations.
  • Ensure information is accessible to business users, including executives, to support informed decision-making and successful outcomes.
  • Utilize data to enable business strategies that optimize results and efficiencies.
  • Create, track, and prepare accurate, clear, and commercially focused reports.
  • Ensure high-quality and accurate data and analysis, working with both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Use BI tools to support continuous improvement of data quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand and address their data requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (preferably in Business Science, IT, or a related field).
  • Proven experience in a BI Consultant, Data Analyst, or similar role.
  • At least 7 years of experience in data warehousing.
  • Excellent knowledge of dimensional databases, including experience in creating optimized scripts, queries, and database architecture.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, and Python is required.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or Pyramid is advantageous.
  • Experience in the Credit Retail sector is a plus.
